非成像透镜就是沿镜片轴心从内往外，各处在设定镜片表面曲率时，按不同的焦距设定。这样发光体通过镜片聚焦后，没有一个单一的焦点，总有一大部分是散焦的。这样，形成一个扩大了的，圆形的，模糊的光斑，而不会把灯丝，或LED中的发光体投影出来。
