The Arc5 will be delayed until sometime in 2005. The reasons are that we cannot afford to produce the light right now. New products cost a tremendous amount of money and we simply do not have it right now. <BR><BR>The up side is this extra time will be used to improve the design further and maybe wait for 5watt LEDs from Lumileds that are rated for more than just 500 hours. <BR><BR>All other major projects are also delayed. I expect to see the following projects completed this year: <BR><BR>-Arc4 tweaks (any needed to improve the core design as they appear) <BR>-Arc4 head knurl <BR>-ArcAAA/AA reliability improvements <BR>-Arc4 tail guard <BR>-Arc4 retail packaging <BR><BR>Possible projects include: <BR><BR>-Arc4 2AA pack (contingent on large order) <BR>-Arc4 pouch <BR>-Plant restructuring to reduce costs and improve production times <BR><BR>The headlamp, 2x123 pack, etc will likely be delayed with the Arc5. <BR><BR>Peter



大意：因为现在制作成本太高，ARC决定等到明年再开始生产ARC5，在这期间希望Lumies可以推出标称寿命超过500小时的5W Luxen Star。（难道现在的都只有500小时？我的L4阿！）



今年将完成的内容包括：


ARC4的调整，包括功能上的（难道是ARC4.1?）<BR>ARC4灯头螺纹（这个有人应该会喜欢）<BR>ARC AA/AAA 稳定性控制（我的另外一个帖子已经转述了内容）<BR>ARC4 新的尾部设计


可能完成的项目还有：


ARC4 双AA电池配件<BR>ARC4 遍携包<BR>整体制造过程的改进，包括节省成本和缩短制造时间。


ARC头灯、双123电池配件将很可能和ARC5一起延迟到明年去。[em06]


个人感觉双AA和123配件应该有较高优先权阿，不知道他怎么想的。。。[em03]
